TL;DR
Veryfi subscription accounts receive a personal address ending in @veryfi.cc for receipts, bills, invoices, and statements.
Veryfi documents HTML, plain text, PDF, image attachments, and direct hosted-receipt links in POS emails. Generic portal notices still need a usable receipt path.
Allow several minutes for email processing, then review the Inbox record and correct any extracted details before using it downstream.

1. Find the personal @veryfi.cc address
Veryfi assigns the receipt-processing address to the subscription account. Find it in Profile settings in the web hub or from the mobile app dashboard. The address ends in @veryfi.cc.
Copy the live value rather than typing it from memory. Veryfi specifically warns that @verify.com is not the processing domain, and that spelling difference is easy to miss.
Keep the processing address private
Treat the personal @veryfi.cc address as a document-ingestion destination and share it only with trusted senders and routing tools.
2. Prepare a supported receipt email
Veryfi documents HTML and plain-text receipt emails, PDF files, and image attachments. Forward the message that contains the actual receipt or invoice evidence so Veryfi can extract the transaction.
Veryfi says it can follow a POS email link that points directly to a hosted receipt. A generic sign-in or billing-portal notice is different, so test the exact sender and retrieve the document when the link does not open the receipt itself.
Multiple attachments are combined into one PDF and processed as one document by default. Add #bulkupload to the subject when each attachment should become a separate document, and keep the combined attachments within the documented 25 MB limit.
| Email input | Veryfi support | Practical treatment |
|---|---|---|
| HTML receipt email | Documented for email capture | Forward the original message with purchase details intact |
| Plain-text receipt | Documented for email capture | Preserve merchant, date, and total in the forwarded body |
| PDF attachment | Documented for email capture | Use a clear, unlocked source file |
| Image attachment | Documented for email capture | Use a legible image with the complete receipt |
| Direct hosted-receipt link | Documented for POS emails that point directly to the receipt | Test the sender; generic portal notices are not equivalent |
4. Compare email with other Veryfi capture methods
Email is the natural path for online purchases, SaaS bills, travel documents, and utilities that already arrive digitally. The mobile app is better for paper receipts and immediate capture. The Veryfi Inbox combines documents received through these paths for review.
Veryfi also exposes reporting, team, bank-feed, and integration workflows. Confirm the current subscription and intended downstream system before assuming every captured document will be exported or reconciled automatically.
5. Route selected receipts with Expensent
Connect the inbox where digital receipts arrive, save the exact @veryfi.cc destination, and send one recent message. Veryfi says email processing usually takes several minutes, so wait for the document and processing confirmation before creating a rule.
Use a narrow sender and subject pattern for repeat automation. Expensent handles discovery, review, historical catch-up, and delivery; Veryfi controls extraction, categorization, reconciliation, reports, and exports.
- 1Copy the @veryfi.cc address from Profile settings.
- 2Forward one supported receipt from the connected inbox.
- 3Wait for processing and confirm the document in Veryfi Inbox.
- 4Review merchant, date, total, category, tax, and source image.
- 5Approve a recurring rule only for the proven email pattern.
6. Review the extracted record
Open the new Veryfi Inbox document and compare it with the source email. Correct missing or inaccurate fields before reconciling, reporting, or exporting the transaction.
Keep capture separate from accounting completion. A receipt in Veryfi proves the evidence reached the extraction system, not that the correct category, client, card transaction, tax treatment, or accounting export is finished.
