Route Receipt Emails to ExpensePoint
Find, review, and send approved receipts from a verified mailbox to the ExpensePoint Receipt Wallet
ExpensePoint accepts receipt emails at mywallet@expensepoint.com after the sending address is linked and verified. Expensent finds likely receipt emails in that connected mailbox, provides a review point, and sends approved evidence into the Receipt Wallet.
This is an email handoff, not a native ExpensePoint API integration. ExpensePoint controls receipt reading, transaction matching, expense creation, reports, approval, and accounting output.
The Verified-Sender Receipt Wallet Gap
ExpensePoint only accepts receipt email from verified senders, and reading and matching are separate stages:
- •The connected sending address must appear as verified in ExpensePoint Linked Email Addresses
- •The receipt reader extracts vendor, date, total, and other available fields before matching
- •Corporate card matching can take up to 24 hours after transaction data arrives
- •A likely match still requires the user to verify the receipt and transaction before adding the expense to a report
Review Receipts Before ExpensePoint Reading
Verify the same source mailbox in ExpensePoint, review each receipt in Expensent, and trace delivery, reading, and matching as distinct checkpoints.
- Verified-sender routing: Send from a mailbox that ExpensePoint has already confirmed
- Receipt review: Check the vendor, date, total, tax, attachment, and intended report before delivery
- Historical catch-up: Find older digital receipts that still need to reach the Receipt Wallet
- Controlled recurrence: Approve a vendor rule only after one receipt completes reading and matching review
What ExpensePoint Does After Delivery
ExpensePoint receives the message from the verified address, stores the evidence in the Receipt Wallet, and runs the receipt reader.
- •The receipt email destination is mywallet@expensepoint.com
- •Additional sending addresses must be linked and confirmed by email before use
- •PDF, BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and email formats support preview and receipt reading
- •The receipt reader extracts the vendor name, date, and total amount
- •Verify Match compares receipts with transactions, expenses, and travel bookings
- •Out-of-pocket receipts can create expenses directly, while corporate card matches can wait for transaction data
Verify the sender before the first send: Open Receipt Wallet, confirm the exact connected mailbox is verified, then test one clear PDF or JPEG receipt.
